U5 Girls & Boys Mixed: Non-Contact Flag

• Ages: January 1, 2021-December 31, 2023

• Non-contact, coed teams

• End of April-end of June

• Tuesdays only; 6:00pm-7:00pm with some festivals on weekends

U7 Girls & Boys Mixed: Non-Contact Flag

• Ages: January 1, 2019 - December 31, 2020

• Non-contact, coed teams

• End of April - end of June

• Practices on Tuesdays, games at Titans on Thursdays; 6:00pm-7:00pm

• Some weekend festivals BUT no Saturday morning festivals in Calgary this year,
  stay tuned for full schedule as there will still be some festivals elsewhere scheduled
  (just not every Saturday)

• Introduction to Contact curriculum

• End of April - end of June

• Practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Titans; 6:00pm-7:00pm

• Combination of SARU festivals on Saturday mornings, stay tuned for full schedule

U13 Boys - Full Contact 13's

• Ages: January 1, 2013 - December 31, 2014

• Full contact, boys and girls separate teams

• End of April - end of June

• Practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Titans; 6:00pm-7:00pm

• Combination of festivals, practices and SARU league games
   

U13 Girls - Full Contact 7's

• Ages: January 1, 2013 - December 31, 2014

• Full contact, boys and girls separate teams

• End of April - end of June

• Practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Titans; 6:00pm-7:00pm

• Combination of festivals (multiple games on one day) and practices 
   

U15 Girls & Boys - Full Contact 15's

• Ages: January 1, 2011 - December 31, 2012

• Full contact, boys and girls separate teams

• End of April-end of June

• Practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Titans; 6:00pm-7:00pm

• Combination of festivals, practices and games

• 2011 born players can play for the remainder of the season in U16 without additional registration

• 2011 and 2012 boys and girls are eligible to participate in Alberta Summer Games representing Zone 4 in Strathcona County this year!!
   

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

• Shoes: U5-U9 running shoes or plastic soccer cleats (Baseball and football cleats are NOT permitted)

• Shoes: U11-U18 plastic soccer cleats or rugby cleats

  • Rugby cleats with metal studs are NOT required and are only for contact age grades

• No jewelry

• Mouthguard is mandatory for all players U11-U18 and must be worn for practices and games

• Black knee-high sport socks are recommended

• Head gear (i.e., scrum cap) is optional

RESPECT IN SPORT

• The Respect in Sport (RIS) Program is mandated and required by Rugby Alberta & Rugby Canada.
   

• One parent/guardian MUST take this program and enter the certificate number into the registration system for anyone under 18 years of age.
   

• Without a certificate number a player cannot be registered.
   

• It takes approximately one hour to complete and does not have to be completed in one sitting.
   

• The cost is $12 plus applicable taxes and is valid for four years.
   

• You can use an existing Respect In Sport certification number you have received through another sport (provided that it is still valid of course).
