U 18 Girls Win Provincial Championship

The Junior Women were impressive with their controlled annihilation of the north champion Lep/Tiger 25 - 0.  The young ladies took the opening kick off and worked through 8 phases before being stopped short of the line.  The Titans scrums and disciplined defense proved too tough and the Titans owned the ball all night long.  

Captain and University of Lethbridge recruit, Bernie LaRose, scored two tries as did Monica Hehli of Rimbey.  The single try was scored by Rocky resident, Jovita Byzitter.  The Titans compiled a 6 - 1 record to capture the Provincial Title for the third time in four years;  2004, 2005, 2007.  Last year the Titans won the Alberta Summer Games Gold in the prestigious sevens tournament.  Much credit needs to go the Central Alberta High School League Coaches.  This years' team had representation from every school in the h.s. league including Rimbey, Olds, Rocky, LTCHS, HHHS and Notre Dame.   

Special recognition is needed for the excellent coaching staff of Anita LaRose, Bill Bowd, Ciaran Ormond, Courtney Armstrong, and senior womens' coach, Matthew Burton.  A very strong coaching staff indeed.  Well done, Titans!

1st. Div. Men 2008  placed 3rd in nine team Alberta Cup League with a record of 10 wins, 4 losses, 1 tie.

3rd. Div. Men 2008 record 9 wins, 4 losses.

Premier Div. Women 2008 record 3 wins, 8 losses, 1 tie.  5th out of eight teams.

U18 Women - 2008 Provincial Champions - second year in a row, third time in last four  years.

Seniors Clobber U20 Upstarts Again in Snowbowl Classic

About twenty rugged Titans battled through the foot deep snow to continue the Annual Snowbowl Game on January 1, 2010.

Better luck next time to the excellent U20's who fought hard but came up just a little short in their effort to wrestle the title from the cold, almost dead hands of the old boys led by new President Bill "The Enforcer" Bowd, Fodder, Fixtures ScottyB, Andy, Jared, Aaron "The Wall" and The Legend.

Man of the Match Award goes to referee Lonnie "Four Eyes - White Cane" Amundson. Special thanks to U20 Men Liaison Directors Ethan "The Bull" Borle and Andrew "The Hammer" Herbert for organizing such a quality group of upstarts.

Great chili thanks to Denise "Julia Childs, the Art of French Cooking" Ormond. A good time was had by all.
