The 2012 Season
The Men's season began with a sense of excitement, due to the hiring of a new coach in Andy Croft and the decision to field teams in each of the Third Division and the Second Division of the CRU contest. This decision was made by the executive in order to make both teams more competitive in the respective divisions.

TheThird division team was compiled of some savvy veterans and a filtering in from the junior program. The young blood stepped up and filled the shoes in some difficult positions including prop, back row, scrum half and fly half. Complimented by some very experienced veterans, the new dynamic to the Third Division squad was exciting to say the least. The team now has the capacity to become stronger in the coming year.  The Titans Third Division team finished 8th in the regular season with a record of 4 wins and 8 losses. Undaunted by missing the play offs, the Third Division team finished the season on a high with a dominating victory over the second place Calgary Saracens in the last game of the regular season.

The Second Division team was in a new territory and after dropping from the First Division where they have struggle in the past, they were excited to bring a competitive effort to the contest. Coach Andy started the season off by providing a challenge to the players to be undefeated at home. The Second Division team did that beating Banff Bears, Calgary Rams, Okotoks Lions, Calgary Irish, and Lethbridge at home. The only blemish was a tie against the Calgary Hornets, who would eventually finish the season in second place and a loss to the Calgary Saracens, who would eventually finish in first place. The Titans finished off the season with a hard hitting, gruelling battle of attrition against the Saracens. One spectator (Dan Kazakoff) argued that it was the best game he had seen all season.  The game ended in a draw, but set the tone for the playoffs.

The Seconds finished the regular season in third place, which meant they would play the Irish (6th) in the quarter finals of the Calgary league. The Seconds emerged victorious on their home field to advance to the semi-finals of the Calgary contest where they faced the Calgary Hornets.  Despite their efforts, the Hornets were too strong and the Titans playoff run was extinguished.

This was an excellent season and the future is bright for both teams. A more situated coach, with a commitment and engagement from the players will surely bring about success in the 2013 season.
