Hi Youth Coaches and Managers!

This is just a quick note to keep you in the loop.  This coming Saturday, April 8th, is Titan’s Youth Open House aimed at new parents to come and see what we are all about, get acquainted with the clubhouse and the coaches and managers and our Youth Member at Large (Jodi Poelzer).  Also, I am trying to get a guy from TBS out with sample sizes so we can do a pre-paid/pre season order of kit.  We can also accept payment from Community Rugby players (competitive payments are all online).  something new this year is, if you are not a coach/manager you will be required to volunteer at the Westerner 3 times.  So we will have more info about that as well for parents. I am hoping you all can make it.  Registration is now live, you can find it on the cru website.  It will be linked to the Titan’s website right away too.  I am meeting with Jodi tomorrow to iron out all the kinks, so if you have any thoughts/suggestions/ please email me asap.  I will have a document for Lisa to send out to all the schools by Sunday night. Spring training for U11 – U15 will start April 20th and will be Monday & Thursday for 2 weeks.  Then regular training commences May 1st.  all training starts at 5:30 sharp. Free ” Try Rugby” day is Saturday April 29th.  time tbd.  Parents can pay fees, drop off bond cheques, order kit, concession open, and everyone is welcome to participate in the equipment swap.
So far, requirements for coaches are the same this year as last year.  If anything changes I will let you know. last year’s police record checks are still valid this year.  check your rugby ready and concussion management certificates to make sure they are still valid.  If you coach U11 and higher you are required to have NCCP Community Initiation Courses Contact /IRB level 1.  If there is a Level 2 course offered in Red Deer, I will let you know.
Managers, Team Snap will be set up shortly.
Thanks for your hard work

TITAN UP!
